TIP #1: Start Realizing That You Are Being Targeted!

Start Realizing That You Are Being Targeted!

Understand that when I say “you” are being targeted, it’s not only you, but you and others like you.

What the diet industry knows about you and what you don’t know about them is making them billions of dollars and keeps them coming back for more…and you can’t seem to stop giving the money to them! It’s like inviting a thief into your vault.

There’s a reason that the dieting industry generates about $70 billion (and growing) each year (and more than that worldwide).

At every turn, there’s someone else looking to be the next great fad diet or craze. The reason being is that dieting is such an ineffective way to lose weight, and companies know this but they are hoping you don’t.

So don’t think for one second that it’s a coincidence that there are so many new diet plans that come to the weight loss marketplace year after year. These people know that you will try one diet plan or program after the other to get the results you want.

And with most of these companies, that is music to their ears, because they are banking – literally – on your ignorance and desperation and gladly taking your money to the tune of billions and billions and billions and billions of dollars every year.

And, because there is so much money being poured into this industry and so much money to be had, so much of what’s being put on the market is absolute junk and can be downright unhealthy or even dangerous.

So, the vast majority of these diets are designed more to make you lose money as opposed to losing weight.

Here are 6 things characteristics that legitimate companies and scammers know or assume about you:

1.) You have a problem (excess weight) that you want solved (lose weight), and you will go to great lengths and pay a lot of money to solve your problem.

2) You are desperate.

Here’s an example of “dieter desperation”.

A very long time ago, I watched an investigative news program. They had a segment about dieting and weight loss and people’s desperation to lose weight.

What they did was set up a small office with minimal furnishings in a mall to advertise a weight loss program where you would be eating, believe it or not, hot dogs and ice cream!

They thought of two of the most counterproductive food items to losing weight and created a diet out of them just to see if anyone would be interested in signing up for it. Did people come in to sign up? You best believe they did!

Think about it. Seemingly intelligent adults who know without a doubt that hot dogs and ice cream are not weight loss foods, but yet they were signing up in hopes of a diet that worked. The segment clearly highlighted people’s desperation, or obsession even, with losing weight.

3.) You want to lose weight NOW!

Many in the dieting industry know that people don’t have the time or the inclination to do the rigorous amount of exercise required to lose weight quickly, and so they will turn to fad diets.

You’ve heard it a million times – fad diets don’t work for permanent weight loss. But the dieting industry knows you will disregard that information.

4.) You want losing weight to be EASY.

Have you noticed that the vast majority of diets don’t talk about exercise? Sure they give a brief mention that you need to exercise but that’s about it. They really don’t stress how importance and essential exercise is to long-term weight loss.

What it comes down to is that they know that most people would rather not go through the hard work of exercising. Or, to put it another way, when given a choice of making changes in their diet regimen or their exercise regimen, most would opt for the diet changes. And the dieting industry knows this.

5.) You have an ego and your ego is going to win out EVERY time.

There are times when you really need to lose some weight fast. For women, you may need to squeeze into a new dress in time for a reunion, wedding, or some other special event.

You want to lose 10 or 20 pounds quickly so you can wow your friends and family with a svelte new shape. The diet industry knows this, hence the reason for more fad diets.

6.) You think there is a new way to lose weight.

Let me add a comment here.

The bottom line is every diet is just another way to reduce calories regardless of how it’s purported.

In addition, losing weight is simple mathematics. You need to burn more calories than you consume. It is generally recommended that you create a 500-calorie per day deficit. Meaning, you need to burn off 500 more calories than you eat.

And for those who want to lose weight faster, the mathematics is still simple. You create a larger calorie deficit by eating even less and exercising more. However, it is highly recommended that you not eat less than 1,200 calories per day, but 1050 calories per day is the absolute bottom line calorie level for safety’s sake.

My point is no matter how you look at it, THIS is the formula for weight loss. But the diet industry wants you to believe that it’s not.

And if those 6 aren’t enough, here is what they know but you don’t…

  • In the last 10 years, about 70% of adult females and about 30% of adult males have been on some kind of diet.
  • Here is where it gets scary. Thirty-five percent of occasional dieters progress into pathological dieting.

So, now you can see why scammers and legitimate companies are constantly creating new diet plans and programs for you.

While we don’t condone in any way, shape or form scamming or ripping people off, these scammers and rip-off companies are just playing the favorable odds. What I mean is given the 6 things (and more) they know or assume about you along with the statistics that I gave, to the industry, there is so much money to be made for years to come.

The simple fact is if you created a consistent and effective exercise routine, you really don’t need what diets offer. Because the diet part would be much easier to manage on your own without using some gimmicky program.

For example, if I were to ask you to give me an example of simple, reasonably healthy diet or to name some foods that would make up a reasonably healthy diet, you could tell me pretty quickly. You don’t need to purchase a diet program for that.

So you essentially have the knowledge you need for weight loss. And any other information you wanted to know about a healthy diet could be resolved by a simple internet search.

Why Tip#1 can help you lose weight fast:

The reason Tip#1 can help you lose weight fast is because you need to understand that not being reasonable about weight loss and letting your ego get in the way can cost you money, time, and even your health.

Don’t let your ego push you in the wrong the direction. And you sincerely need to come to grips with that so that you don’t let all of the hype, lies, and BS distract you from losing weight quickly and safely and keeping it off.

Don’t fall for fool’s gold.
